Chainsaw Man star Kikunosuke Toya is officially launching his music career this July

From Chainsaw Man to the Stage: Kikunosuke Toya Makes His Big Solo Music Debut
If you recognize that voice from anywhere, it’s probably because you’ve spent some time hanging out with Denji in Chainsaw Man. Kikunosuke Toya, the man behind the chaos, is trading in the devil-hunting gear for a microphone to launch his solo music career. And honestly? It sounds like he’s coming out swinging.
Toya is set to drop his first-ever solo digital single, "Off to the Groove," on July 26, 2026. While we’ve heard him belt out tunes before—thanks to his work on projects like UniteUp! and Hana-Kimi—this is the first time he’s stepping into the spotlight as an artist in his own right.
Finding the Groove
What makes this track extra special is that it’s a total passion project. Toya didn't just walk into a booth and record; he actually wrote and composed the track himself. The vibe he’s aiming for is all about the pure, simple joy of having music woven into your daily life. To get that jazz-infused polish, he teamed up with PAKshin from the instrumental band Calmera. If you’ve been keeping an eye on his YouTube channel’s "TOYA JAZZ KIKU JAZZ" series, you already know these two have incredible chemistry.
Catch Him Live This Summer
He isn't stopping at a digital release, either. To celebrate the big debut, Toya is heading out for a series of live showcase events throughout August. It’s a perfect chance to see him perform live and soak in those new sounds.
The tour kicks off on August 2 at Shizukanoumi in Nagoya, followed by a second stop at Shinyokohama NEW SIDE BEACH!! on August 23. Both dates feature both daytime and evening performances, so there are plenty of chances to grab a spot. If you want to make sure you're there, tickets are already up for grabs over at the eplus website.
It’s always a trip to see our favorite voice actors branch out into new creative territories, and considering the talent Toya has already shown, "Off to the Groove" is definitely one to keep on your radar. Keep an eye on his socials—he’s just getting started!
