The wait is finally over. Everyone’s favorite ruthless, pint-sized military genius is back, and she’s bringing the chaos with her. To celebrate the season’s launch, the team at studio NUT just dropped the creditless versions of the opening and ending sequences, and they are absolutely worth your attention.

A Soundtrack That Hits Hard

First up, we have the opening theme, "Why? RED induction." It’s performed by the powerhouse group MYTH & ROID, who once again perfectly capture the tense, high-stakes atmosphere of Tanya’s world. It’s an absolute earworm that sets the stage for the gritty, tactical mayhem to come. If you find yourself humming it at work, don't worry—the single is already available on all major streaming platforms, complete with the bonus track "Awake Anew."

But the real treat? The ending theme. It features none other than Aoi Yuuki, the voice behind Tanya herself, lending her talents to the track "Weiter! Weiter!" A Fresh Command Behind the Scenes

Things are looking a little different behind the camera this time around. Takayuki Yukimoto—who you might recognize from his work on Negative Positive Angler—has stepped up to the director’s chair. He’s joined by series composer Kenta Ihara (the mastermind behind TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy-) and character designer Yuji Hosogoe, who is pulling double duty as the chief animation director. Together, they’re bringing the original light novel series from Carlo Zen and Shinobu Shinotsuki to life with a fresh coat of tactical paint.

For those who need a quick refresher: we’re dropped right into the heat of June 1923. Tanya is just trying to finish up her time at the Imperial Military Academy, stationed at the Norden Theater for what should be a straightforward training mission. Of course, in Tanya's world, "straightforward" never lasts long. One minute she’s aiming for a stable career path, and the next, she’s neck-deep in an unexpected military catastrophe.
