MYTH & ROID drop a wild new music video for the Tanya the Evil Season 2 opening theme



Tanya Degurechaff is Back and MYTH & ROID is Cranking Up the Heat!

If you've been counting down the days until the return of everyone's favorite ruthless salaryman-turned-war-mage, the wait is finally over. Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 hit screens earlier this month, and to celebrate the big comeback, the powerhouse music unit MYTH & ROID just dropped a special music video that is pure nostalgia fuel.

The video serves as a massive highlight reel, blending gritty, high-octane footage from the original 2017 season alongside fresh clips from the brand-new episodes. It’s the perfect companion to their latest track, "Why? RED induction," which officially serves as the opening theme for this new chapter of Tanya's war-torn journey.

A Familiar Sound with a Darker Edge

Long-time fans know that MYTH & ROID and Tanya go together like magic and artillery. After crushing it with the iconic "JINGO JUNGLE" back in 2017 and bringing the intensity for the 2019 film's theme, "Remembrance," the group led by producer Tom-H@ck and vocalist KIHOW has returned to remind us exactly why they're the voice of this series.

So, what’s the vibe this time around? According to the band, "Why? RED induction" is all about balancing the manic energy of the show’s start with the heavier, more somber weight of the current arc. They described the song as a way to process the frustration of an endless war while maintaining that signature stubborn survival instinct that defines Tanya Degurechaff. It’s meant to be a rallying cry—a way to push through the darkness when everything feels hopeless.

The War Continues

For those living under a rock, the series—based on the light novels by Carlo Zen and Shinobu Shinotsuki—returned on July 8, 2026. The production is in good hands at studio NUT, with Takayuki Yukimoto stepping into the director's chair.
