High school is stressful enough without having to worry about accidentally turning into a city-leveling monster. If you've been waiting to watch Kuroe Akaishi navigate the absolute minefield of teenage romance, we’ve got some stellar news. Crunchyroll just dropped the details for the English dub of KAIJU GIRL CARAMELISE, and it is officially landing on your screens this Thursday, July 16.

For those who need a quick refresher on the chaos, Kuroe is just trying to make it through class, but her emotions have a mind of their own. Whenever she gets excited, nervous, or—heaven forbid—smitten with her crush, Arata Minami, she transforms into a literal kaiju. It’s a hilarious, high-stakes premise that perfectly captures the "awkward crush" energy we all know too well, just with significantly more property damage.

Meet the English Cast

The dub brings together a fantastic lineup of talent to bring this manga adaptation by Spica Aoki to life. Leading the charge as our monster-prone protagonist Kuroe is Nia Celeste, while Jacob Hopkins steps into the role of the popular heartthrob, Arata. Joining them in the supporting cast are Luci Christian as Rinko, Lindsay Seidel as Jumbo King, Mia M. Azuaje as Nagiko, and Cameron Wisener as Miyu, alongside a massive list of additional voices ready to round out the high school antics.

Behind the Scenes

The dub production is in excellent hands. Voice director Caitlin Glass is overseeing the project at Crunchyroll, with a veteran team of producers, adaptation supervisors, and engineers working behind the scenes to make sure the transition from screen to dub is seamless. The anime itself is being helmed by director Teruyuki Omine over at Studio LIDEN FILMS, featuring a series composition by Yuniko Ayana and character designs by Mitomi Nakayama.
