The mystery that has been keeping fans on the edge of their seats is finally solved! In the latest episode of Star Detective Precure!, we finally pulled back the curtain on the identity of the elusive Cure Eclair. After weeks of speculation and intense fan voting, the sweet-toothed pastry chef from Patisserie ChuChu, Kurea Howa, has been officially revealed as our newest hero.

A Fan-Driven Reveal

The journey to this discovery has been an absolute blast. Over the last few weeks, the show teased us with four different suspects—Eliza Kurusu, Shiruku Ieiri, Kurea Howa, and Rei Kaneda. Fans didn't just sit back and watch, though; more than 250,000 votes were cast both online and at physical ballot boxes across Japan. Kurea absolutely dominated the polls, snagging over half of the total votes. Alongside her grand reveal, we also got a look at her adorable new partner fairy, Shushutan, voiced by Karin Isobe.

From Bocchi the Rock! to Magical Girl

If you think the voice of Cure Eclair sounds familiar, you aren't imagining things. Ikumi Hasegawa is stepping into the role, and she’s already a fan favorite. You might recognize her as the energetic Ikuyo Kita from BOCCHI THE ROCK! or Desumi Magahara in Love After World Domination. While she’s lent her voice to smaller roles in the Precure universe before, this is her big breakout moment as a main lead.

Hasegawa admitted in a recent statement that keeping the secret was nearly impossible. She was sworn to silence—even from her fellow cast members—which left her feeling a mix of confusion and pure joy. "I had been holding back my strong desire to tell the people around me," she shared, adding that she truly looks up to Kurea’s character. She’s promised to bring all that pent-up energy to the role and make Star Detective Precure! even more sparkling than before.

It’s a wild, time-traveling mystery that follows 14-year-old Anna Akechi, who gets pulled from 2027 all the way back to 1999.
