The Student Council Just Got a Lot More Chaotic: Meet the Latest Addition to the Cast!

If you have been keeping an eye on the upcoming anime scene, you’ve probably heard the buzz surrounding Even the Student Council Has Its Holes!. The show, based on Muchimaro’s delightfully unhinged manga, just dropped a brand-new character trailer and visual, and fans are already loving the energy. The big news? We finally know who is voicing our general affairs representative, Komaro Michinoku.

The role is going to the incredibly talented Miyu Tomita. If her voice sounds familiar, that’s because she famously played Miko Iino in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. Given her history with playing high-energy, memorable student council characters, she feels like the perfect fit for this absolute riot of a show.

Who is behind the magic?

The production team behind this project is a massive win for fans of high-quality animation. Studio Passione is handling the adaptation with Naoyuki Tatsuwa (known for Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World) in the director’s chair. We are also seeing Masahiro Yokotani—who recently crushed it with Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!—tackling series composition. Plus, Ryo Imamura is back on character designs, bringing the same charm that made the 2024 viral promo video such a hit.

What can we expect?

For the uninitiated, the story follows Mizunoe Ume, a student who thinks joining the council is his ticket to avoiding academic disaster. Instead, he walks headfirst into a group of the weirdest, most eccentric students in the school. Between the airheads, the scary types, and the secret perverts, it is essentially a recipe for disaster—but a really cute, endearing, and slightly naughty kind of disaster.

We have a little bit of a wait ahead of us, as the series isn't scheduled to hit the airwaves until October 2026. Still, with a cast and staff this stacked, this is definitely one to keep on your radar. Start getting your watchlists ready now!
